Sharon Tate is like mad hot beautiful

I used to have a big poster of her in my living room, and nobody understood why. And I could never explain. But she's great.
And a good actress who never got the respect she deserved.

Now I want to watch Valley of the Dolls, but I can't find my dvd. :(

On September 5th, my perfect fiance became my perfect husband, and despite all the minor mishaps, it was a great day.

It looks like we might be switching our cell phones to Verizon. I'm torn between the LG Envy in maroon and the LG Chocolate in light blue. I'm sad though, as it means saying goodbye to my pretty, shiny purple Sony Ericson.

Wedding stuff is still coming together, albeit slowly. I'm worried about being able to afford everything, but since my wedding shower is coming up, I'm trying to remain focused on enjoying that, rather than freaking out about everything else.

Tonight is the first part of my hunters safety course, and I'm nervous about it. I'm really psyched about hunting this season, and I'm afraid I'll do horrible and not pass. It should be okay though.

So...
Pre-marital counseling was a breeze. We just talked about good communication habits and how we wanted the ceremony to go. We have one more session on Wed. night, and that's it.

We checked our bridal registry and it looks like we got some of the stuff we picked out.

Gremlin has been all neurotic-affectionate lately when he's not under the couch, ripping up carpet and tearing out foam. I love my bunny.
He follows me all over the house, and even tries to follow me into the bathroom, lol.

Not much else to say, except that the whole Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon dying thing was mind blowing. I'm sad to hear about all of them, but on the subject of MJ, I have to admit, the MJ I grew up on, and knew and loved, was dead years ago.
Still, it is sad news.

So, the wedding is approaching. Like 2 months and 2 weeks away or something like that.
And I'm nervous, but only about how we're going to pay for all of it. I'm mostly excited about getting married though. We have had our wedding rings for a little while, and it's all I can do to keep myself from getting into the boxes and trying mine on.

I got some fringe bangs cut, so my updo will be a little more interesting than just pulled-up hair. I'm hoping that my veil will look okay with it.

I also got my boots. They're not exactly specifically wedding shoes, I just planned on having some cowboy boots to wear under my dress. So Ed and I went to the boot shop near his Grandpap's hunting camp (can't believe I actually recognized the area, being so directionally challenged) and I got some boots. They're fabulous.
Almost all female relatives are ready to shit over the fact that I'm just wearing my boots though, lol. I think everyone expected me to want to get heels or something.

Anyway, the money my grandfather left me looks like it should be coming in soon. Ed and I are beyond excited because $37,000 is a LOT of money for us, and would most definitely help us out, especially if it comes before the wedding, and then we would be worry free about paying for everything.
Either way, I still have plans for some of the money. I'm definitely buying that awesome .22 with a good scope. And a shotgun and good camoflage. I'm so excited for buck season, it's ridiculous.

It looks like my bachelorette party is going to be the week before the wedding. Destiny, my maid of honor, said she's thinking something along the lines of dinner and then getting tanked up. (My words, not hers, lol)
"Goin' out with my boots on..."

I just must not be into LJ as much as before. I still check my friends page and keep updated on everyone else's goings on, but as for posting my own, it never seems like I have enough time. There's too much wedding and domestic-wifely-duty stuff to be done.

Most of the time I just seems to be spending most of my free time with Ed. Last night we went out to dinner and then went to Target and finished up our registry list. It was a lot of fun, even with the storm knocked out the power for a minute and we were in the store in the dark. We found the original Gremlins movie for $4, and being that I have never seen it, and he's been dying to see it again, we bought it and started watching it last night. We didn't finish it, but we probably will tonight.
It's kind of funny watching a movie that our rabbit got his name from. When we first went to the store to pick out a bunny, I found ours in the back of the cage, and Ed was like, 'Oh he looks like Gremlin, from the movie.' He really meant Gizmo, but couldn't think of the name, and I just liked it, so now our bunny's name is Gremlin. And he is a little gremlin. He chews things all over the house, and worst of all, HE POOPS ALL OVER THE BATHROOM!
I hate that.
Lol.

I'm a bridal fuckup.
We're getting married in like 3 and 1/2 months, and there's all this detail shit I haven't done, and I can barely generate any interest. But then I think about how close everything is, and I freak the fuck out.
Fuck. It. All.

Aaaaaannnnnnnddddd....
My fiance is gone on a job. I want sex like woah. I am becoming shamelessly obsessive about sex with him. I don't know if it's the pill or what, but I was warned that it could possibly lower my sex drive, and it seems like the opposite.

I bought tequila for our house. We'll probably have a fire pit party and I'll get smashed and fuck the shit out of him.
As it should be.

Oh, and I'm semi-smoking again.

I got a crossbow yesterday. At Cabela's.
Yesterday, I went on a delivery run with Ed. To Ohio.

And on the way back, he asked if I wanted to stop in at Cabela's and just look around. We weren't inteding on buying anything, but we found a crossbow that's light and easy for me to shoot. I absolutely love it.
So we get home, and I made lunch (leftovers, haha), and afterward, before we left for Kentucky, Ed asked if I wanted to practice shooting a little, so we went outside to have a little fun.

So, we're shooting and getting my bow sighted in, and shooting, and I'm doing good. I mean, I can definitely make a kill shot.
Then we find a grapefruit outside and Ed asked if I wanted to try shooting it. So, we mess with the bow a little more, and it's finally sighted in perfectly, and then I start shootig my three practice arrows. The first one went right in the center, which was good. The second landed right next to it. The third was a 'one-in-a-million' shot. I shafted the second arrow. Right down the shaft, no deviation. I remember watching MythBusters when they tried to do this and they couldn't.

It was so cute, Ed was so excited, he took pictures of the arrows, the grapefruit with them in it, me next to it with my bow, and then me holding the arrows and my bow.
He was beyond proud and called his brother and his mom to tell them and texted my mom the pics on his phone.

He says I'm going to be a killing machine.

But right now I'm sitting in our hotel room, hoping he's not working a 12 today, and wishing I could be practicing with my bow.

So, we're not getting a dog.
We still want an indoor pet, but until we no longer have outdoor dogs, it really isn't practical to have another dog, dig?

In lieu of a dog, we have decided that we will instead get a 'house bunny'. Har har.
That's what we have been referring to our future pet as. Not just because it's funny, but also because I have decided we are going to name the bunny Hef, in accordance with my mad Hugh and Playboy obsession.

Also, I've been playing Super Princess Peach for the DS like crazy, and I think I'm finally getting somewhere with it.

Ed's away on a job, and while I appreciate that he is on a service job and therefore getting more pay and more hours, I miss him terribly and he only left yesterday.  He figures on this being a 4-5 day job, which means he'll be back maybe Monday or Tuesday, or even as late as Wednesday.
I know that this is not only necessary because we need the money to help pay for our wedding, but also because it's his job and he has to do what he has to do, but I'm still bummed.

I am deeply conflicted about this.

And I really miss him.

Gah... more and more wedding crapola... this is my dress, an Oleg Cassini thing ---> www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp

I'm making us a wedding website right now, and we're trying to get everything nailed down.  So far we've definitely got our church, and we're thisclose to signing the contract for our hall, which is really nice, and I can totally picture us taking our first spin around the dance floor as husband and wife there.  :)

So anyway, lots of stuff is either already done or close to it, which will be nice when it gets closer to our date and things are getting crazier.  Especially since we changed our date.  To get our church, we had to bump everything up a week.  So now it's September 5th.  I hate to admit it, but I'm getting really excited.  I think it's finally sinking in... I'm going to be a bride!

So aside from all this wedding stuff...
The holidays were great.  We gave each other some really great presents, and he especially did really awesome... he knew I was dying for the ring, and then he surprised me with the earrings.  Needless to say, I LOVE them!

I've been wearing them pretty much nonstop since Christmas.  And I actually get a lot of complements on them.  I never knew so many other people liked Hello Kitty.
But anyway...

Since I don't have a job, and am not getting one until next month, I have lots of time to clean our house and cook.  I always thought this 50s housewife stuff was crapola, but I find myself actually liking it more and more.  We get up at the same time every day and then I make coffee and make his lunch while he showers and then we have coffee together before he leaves for work.  It's nice.  Really nice.

Also, it's been really nice getting to know his family more.  I really feel accepted, like I fit in well.  I was pretty nervous about it, but the more time I spend with them, the more I feel like I'm fitting in.  And I think his brother's wife and I could get to be really good friends.  She's probably the nicest, sweetest person I've ever met in my life.  It'll be good to have some close female friends the closer it gets to our wedding date, since my best friend and mom both live a little ways away.

But anyway, that's about it for now.  All I seem to think and talk about lately is wedding stuff, and I'm sure that cannot be all that interesting for everyone.  Sorry!

We have cohabitation!

Seriously, last week (Monday night, really), I got home to my empty home-on-the-hill and it was all snowy and just really depressing, and I called my fiance, and he was all like 'Come stay with me.', and that night we talked about how he wanted me to just move in from day one, and how I'm sick of missing him and waiting for the weekend to come like some kind of mini-vacation, and we decided that instead ofthis just being a visit, I would move in.  So, here I am, typing this from our living room.

So now I live in Pennsylvania again!

Thanksgiving was good, too.
My fiance is big into hunting, and yesterday he let me shoot his mom's rifle and one of his.  My first time ever even touching a gun, and I shot the fucking bullseye dead center my first try.  Lol, everyone says I'm a natural, and surprisingly, I loved it!
We went to his grandparents' place (mom's side) for lunch, and then had dinner with his father's side at his aunt's place (parents are divorced).  It was pretty nice.  I like his family and we get along well, which is a relief.  His older brother's wife offered to help me with the wedding stuff, and I'm planning on asking his mom, too.  Things should be cool.
I'm starting to get excited, as we get more stuff ready and planned.

We spent Friday until Wednesday with my mom in Philly, and since she's doing our flowers for us, we went flower shopping, and we bought all of our flowers, including everything for my bouquet!
It's going to be so beautiful, it makes me want to put on my dress right now...lol!

And now I have SO much stuff to do for school, but there is huge comfort in knowing that once it's over, I'm DONE.  For good, and there will be that much more time to spend with my fiance.
But putting together this project and my portfolio is going to be a pain.  Ugh.

So, Zach and Miri Make A Porno...  really funny.  We had a good time, went to dinner, then to see the movie, then came home and had some lovely cuddle time in bed.  Best Halloween ever, hands down, and I didn't even do anything Halloween related.

This whole weekend has been good.  There were a lot of little moments where we had some conflict, but not enough to be a big deal.  More or less it was us learning how we need to not take everything so seriously, and kind of just chill.  I know though, that we are definitely going to make it.  Everything, no matter how much it got blown out of proportion, was resolved with a minimum of stress.

Saturday night was good.  We went to the mall, and I went shopping, and then we went out to the club and had some beers and did a little dancing, which was really nice.
Sunday night was nice, but man, is it hard to leave him and go back to my house.  I love being at his house, and just knowing that even if he's not there, he's still all around me.  It's heaven... lol.

I'm supposed to get my ring soon, too.  He already knows how he's going to do it, too.  I am SO excited. :)

Gah, we were so full of the sappy crapola this weekend.
It.  Was.  Awesome.
